Biography. In 1979, Lam Suet went to HK from Tianjian City in North China to inherit his grandpa's belongings. After spending his last dollar within a few months' time, Lam had to work in local factories for survival. He changed jobs often and stuck finally as a part-time carpenter.
Lam was nominated for a Golden Horse Best Supporting Actor Award and took home the Golden Bauhinia Best Supporting Actor Award for his role in PTU as a cop who loses his gun, though he arguably should have been in the Best Actor category.
