John Vivian Drummond Nettles (b. Oct 11, 1943) is an English actor and author famously recognized for his starring roles as a detective in the crime drama television series Bergerac (1981–1991). John also appeared in Midsomer Murders (1997–2011) as Detective Inspector Tom Barnaby. In Addition, he has also narrated a number of series.
