May 2, 2024 · Almost 20 years on from Pornography, in 2000, Robert Smith sat down to think about where he wanted his band to go next. The last few records had been predominately upbeat affairs, and for some peculiar reason, he got to thinking about The Cure of the 1980s.
Robert Smith, the lead singer of The Cure, is known for his unique and iconic hairstyle, often referred to as the "Robert Smith look," which features disheveled hair and dark eyeliner. Despite his gothic appearance and melancholic music, Robert Smith is a self-professed lover of cartoons and has cited animated shows like "The Simpsons" and "South Park" as some of his favorites.
