Absolutely superb, I really love this film which is very loosely based on Charles Dickens' novel 'Great Expectations'. Apart from the story of the artist Noor's lifelong obsession with Firdaus (Fitoor translates as obsession) and all the problems he encounters along the way, the music is gorgeous and atmospheric and there are countless scenes of stunning, breathtaking, beauty (especially the snowy or autumnal forested landscape of Kashmir, the old mansion, Noor's own works of art).
