This book is a long conversation, about 50 pages, between Javed Akhtar and Nasreen Munni Kabir, on the lyrics of the Hindi film song - what goes into writing it, the word as sound and the word as meaning, the relationship of the words with the music, the words as a reflection of society, the evolution of the song over the last many decades, and so on.
