K. Raghavan (2 December 1913 – 19 October 2013), also fondly called Raghavan Master, was an Indian music composer who predominantly worked in Malayalam cinema and also a carnatic vocalist.
Background. VijayRaghavan graduated with a Bachelor of Technology degree in chemical engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1975 and a master's in 1977. He completed his doctoral research in 1983 in the field of molecular biology and holds a Ph.D. from the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.
Raghavan was the director-general of Tamil Nadu's State Vigilance Directorate for six years from 1993 to 1999, overseeing the corruption cases against AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa. In his 15-year stint with the Intelligence Bureau, he was posted to Shillong, Delhi and Chennai.
