Renu Saluja Biography Renu Saluja was one of the leading editors of Indian film industry and perhaps the most versatile female artist in the field of editing. She has received National awards four times for her creative and artistic work for the movies - Parinda (1989), Dharavi (1991), Sardar (1993) and Godmother (1999).
Subsequently, Chopra made his feature film directorial debut with Sazaye Maut (1981), which starred Naseeruddin Shah and Radha Saluja in the lead roles. This was followed by the thriller Khamosh (1985) and the crime drama Parinda (1989), the latter of which won two National Film Awards and five Filmfare Awards, and has since been widely hailed as one of the most iconic films in the history of Hindi cinema.
While studying at FTII, he met his first wife Renu Saluja (Indian film editor). However, their marriage ended in 1983, as Renu did not want to have a child. In 1976, Vidhu worked as a director in the Hindi-English short film ‘Murder at Monkey Hill.’ He directed the Hindi documentary film ‘An Encounter with Faces’ in 1978.
