Hurd Hatfield's performan as Dorian is wonderful, cold and meticulous and resigned to his world. The usage of the painting and color vs black and white is terrifying. Especially when you add in the chords of the score that are hit to accompany the image.

A native of New York, Hatfield came to England to study acting at the Chekhov Theatre Studio in Devonshire. He had resided in Ireland since the early 1970s.
