Charles Winninger was an American actor. Born in Athens, Wisconsin, Winninger began his career as a vaudeville performer and tromboner, and made his first notable stage performance in the Ziegfeld Follies of 1920. Soon after he made his film debut in 1924 and made notable film appearances in Three Smart Girls, Destry Rides Again and My Life With Caroline amongst others.
