Alexandrea " Alex " Borstein (born February 15, 1971) is an American actress, voice actress, writer, and comedian. Borstein is known for her long running role as Lois Griffin in the animated television series Family Guy, and a cast member on the sketch comedy series MADtv . Born in Highland Park, Illinois and studied San Francisco State University.
