Gary Baxley (born 31 December 1950; age 73) is a stuntman and stunt coordinator who portrayed Thorne in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episode "In Theory". Baxley filmed his scenes and stunt on Tuesday 9 April 1991 on Paramount Stage 9 and also coordinated his own stunt. He later performed stunts in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and Star Trek: Insurrection. Baxley is the nephew of stuntman and stunt coordinator Paul Baxley, the cousin of stuntman and director Craig R.

Craig Baxley is a third-generation filmmaker. After starting his career in front of the camera, working his way up as a successful stunt coordinator and second unit director on films like Predator (1987), Reds (1981), The Long Riders (1980) and The Warriors (1979) (with such talented directors as Don Siegel, Alan J. Pakula, Warren Beatty, Norman Jewison, Walter Hill and Steven Spielberg), he transitioned making his directorial debut on the acclaimed hit series The A-Team (1983).
