Aug 30, 2021 · The e-SHRAM portal covers unorganised workers and aims to implement social security schemes. The workers will be given a new e-SHRAM card which has a 12-digit UAN number. Registration on the portal is free of cost and beneficiaries will receive accidental insurance coverage through PMSBY.
Oct 30, 2023 · National Informatics Centre (NIC) as a technology partner has designed the e-Shram portal for optimum recognition of employability and to benefit from the social security schemes. It is the first-ever national database of unorganised workers including migrant workers, construction workers, etc.
The eShram portal will be used for enrollment, registration, collection and identification of the required data of all the unorganised workers. Portal will provide the facility to register workers by Self registration as per their convenience.
Apr 3, 2023 · On 26.08.2021, Ministry of Labour & Employment has launched eShram portal, a National Database of the Unorganised Workers (NDUW) aged between 16-59 seeded with Aadhaar. As on 26.03.2023, more than 28.78 crore unorganised workers have registered on the portal.

Jun 19, 2024 · Ministry of Labour & Employment launched e-Shram portal on 26th August 2021 for creation of a comprehensive National Database of Unorganised Workers, authenticated with Aadhaar. As on 18th May 2024, over 29.67 crore unorganised workers have already been registered on e-Shram portal.
