A simple approach using organic nanostructures to fabricate chiral emissive polymeric films is demonstrated. Porphyrin molecules possessing axial chiral substituents undergo self-assembly to form spherical aggregates that, upon incorporation into a polymeric matrix, exhibit circularly polarized luminescence.
