Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) is the country's premier Science & Technology University, which is re-accredited with NAAC ‘A+’ Grade. CUSAT was formerly known as Cochin University and was established in the year 1971. The university holds the approval from UGC & AICTE.
It became part of the University of Cochin in 1971, which later became Cochin University of Science and Technology. The school pursues four areas of academic activity: teaching, training, research, and consultancy.

Now, with over 3000 students, it has assumed a formidable size as the largest academic unit of the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), a State Govt. University accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade in October 2022.
