Destination of Leavers. Glendower girls go on to some of the most successful day and boarding schools in the UK and beyond. In 2024, thirty seven Awards and Scholarships were offered and our leavers accepted places at: Wycombe Abbey. St Paul’s Girls’ School. Putney High School. North London Collegiate.
Community. Glendower has been educating girls for over 120 years, since the school was founded in 1895 by two enterprising Victorian ladies, Miss Edith Lloyd and Miss Maud Cornwell, with just three pupils. To begin with the School occupied two rented rooms over a furniture shop in Fulham Road, sharing premises with the hatters Dunn & Co.
4+ Assessments. The main point of entry to the school is at 4+ for Reception. Prospective pupils are invited to attend in groups of 6 or 7 for about 40 minutes to be observed interacting by three or four adults, during the latter part of January of the year in which they would start.
