Mar 25, 2010 · Bottom Line: The modern adaptation of ‘Maro Charithra’ could have easily been inspired from films like ‘Padamati Sandhya Raagam’, ‘Ananda Thandavam’, since both of them deal with families which had just moved to USA. However, ‘Maro Charithra’ (2010) is neither of them, nor is it anywhere close to the original cult classic.
Maro Charitra (New) Balu (Varun Sandesh) is born and brought up in the USA. Swapna (Anita) moves to USA. Balu’s father (Pratap Pothan) is highly sophisticated and strict. Anita’s mother (Urvashi) is highly rustic. Balu and Anita fall in love, but parents oppose. Balu joins a job.
