All five cop dramas are competent procedurals, though Elliott never looks comfortable in them. The last of the five — and the last film of Elliott’s career — is FOOTSTEPS IN THE NIGHT, again casting Wild Bill as Lieutenant Andy Doyle, a homicide detective with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
