So much so that a director like Joe Camp has made an entire career making movies about one stray mutt – the adorable Benji, who wags his tail, fights bad guys and wins hearts – making audiences root for him all the way till the curtains dropped.
Benji is a 2018 American adventure drama film written and directed by Brandon Camp, and produced by Blumhouse Productions. The film is a reboot of the 1974 film of the same title, which was directed by Camp's father Joe. It stars Gabriel Bateman and Darby Camp. [3] . Jason Blum served as a producer through his Blumhouse Productions label.
- The director was inspired by the film The Lady and The Tramp. The story of the Tramp was in fact something similar to Benji’s and vice versa since they were both homeless and were attempting to do something right.
