Doraisamy Raja (born 3 June 1949) is an Indian politician and the General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (CPI) since July 2019. He was former member of Rajya Sabha from Tamil Nadu. Doraiswamy Raju or D. Raju (born 2 July 1939) is an Indian judge who served as a justice of the Supreme Court of India . Career. Raju was graduated in 1959 and obtained B.L. degree in law in 1961 from the Madras University.
She has held many positions for the Communist Party of India including Kannur district secretary of the CPI’s women’s wing and member of the CPI state executive committee. In 1990, she met Doraisamy Raja while leading a CPI women’s march from Kannur to Thiruvananthapuram and married the same year.
