This page contains download links for the latest released version of PuTTY. Currently this is 0.81, released on 2024-04-15. When new releases come out, this page will update to contain the latest, so this is a good page to bookmark or link to. Alternatively, here is a permanent link to the 0.81 release.
PuTTY 0.79, released today, is mostly a bug fix release, with only minor new features in SSH and terminal mouse handling. The most important bug fix is that we've restored the Windows 'install scope' to the way it was in 0.77 and earlier, reverting the security workaround we had to put into 0.78.
0.81, released on 2024-04-15, is the latest release. You can also find it at the Latest Release page, which will update when new releases are made (and so is a better page to bookmark or link to). Release versions of PuTTY are versions we think are reasonably likely to work well.

This feature is new in 0.81 (released 2024-04-15): Security fix for CVE-2024-31497: NIST P521 / ecdsa-sha2-nistp521 signatures are no longer generated with biased values of k.
There's a latest release version; there are the development snapshots; and when we're in the run-up to making a release, there are also pre-release builds of the upcoming new version. Each one has its own collection of binaries, and its own collection of checksums files to go with them.
