University of Mumbai (formerly known as University of Bombay) is a public state university in Mumbai. It is one of the largest university systems in the world with over 549,000 students on its campuses and affiliated colleges.
The Mumbai University (MU) has a virtual classroom at its Kalina campus and became the first public university in the country to introduce this facility. This facility will be used to deliver and live-stream lectures, workshops and seminars through A-VIEW, which will comprise of a complete virtual learning tool.
Established in 1857 as the University of Bombay, it is one of the first three Universities in India. Mumbai University is recognised by the UGC and accredited with an ‘A++’ grade by the NAAC. Mumbai University is ranked 56th among top universities in NIRF Ranking 2023.
