Jagga Jasoos (transl. Detective Jagga) is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language musical adventure comedy film written and directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Basu and Ranbir Kapoor. It stars Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, and tells the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father.

Loved and cared for by the caregiving staff but lonely and neglected nevertheless, he saves the life of a mysterious man one day, who ends up fathering him, and teaches him how to communicate effectively through singing.
Synopsis. The story of Jagga Jasoos evolves around the infamous high profile case of Purulia Arms Drop, which took place in the year 1995 allegedly to overthrow the then Communist Government of West Bengal, India.
