Robert L. Lippert (1909–1976) was a successful exhibitor, owning a chain of movie theaters in California and Oregon. He was frustrated that the Hollywood studios concentrated on making big, expensive pictures that commanded premium rental fees.

Outlaw Women is a 1952 American western film directed by Sam Newfield and Ron Ormond and starring Marie Windsor, Richard Rober and Carla Balenda. It is set in a remote small town run entirely by women. The film was made in Cinecolor and released by the low-budget specialist Lippert Pictures.
Lippert's company was contracted to make 20 pictures a year for seven years, each to be shot in seven days for no more than $100,000. Due to Lippert's problems with the film unions over not paying residuals to actors and writers of his films when they were sold to television, Fox chose not to publicize Lippert's participation.
Lippert Pictures was an American B-Movie production company of the mid-20th century. Founded in 1945 as Screen Guild Productions (with some of its earliest films produced by the affiliated company Action Pictures), it was reorganized in 1949 and renamed after its president and co-founder Robert L. Lippert.
