is a 2021 western horror novel double feature written by David Sodergren and Steve Stred.
The first half follows a man embarking on a journey of violence to avenge the murder of his son and wife, while the second follows a group of hunters searching for the creature that the man has become.

I’d read and loved 4 stories by David Sodergren and recently discovered a love for western horror so when I saw The Navajo Nightmare I was super excited to read it. He did not disappoint. The first part, ‘Before’, was our introduction to Charles Anderson. It was brutal. It was brilliant. I absolutely loved it. •
Apr 24, 2021 · THE NAVAJO NIGHTMARE is a story told in two novellas. The first, "Before" by David Sodergren, is a tragic, haunting and poetic tale of revenge. The switch in style into Steve Stred's "After" can be a little jarring at first but it packs a punch in itself, more as a road trip revenge story with entertaining characters and interesting mythos.
