Valašské Meziříčí (Czech pronunciation: [ˈvalaʃskɛː ˈmɛzɪr̝iːtʃiː]; German: Wallachisch Meseritsch) is a town in Vsetín District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 23,000 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument zone.
The town of Valašské Meziříčí is located in the eastern part of the Czech Republic near to the border with Slovakia. The town is situated by the confluence of the rivers Vsetínská Bečva and Rožnovská Bečva at the foot of the Vsetín´s Hills.
