Tomaszów Lubelski [tɔˈmaʂuf luˈbɛlskʲi] is a town in south-eastern Poland with 19,365 inhabitants (2017). [2] Situated in the Lublin Voivodeship, near Roztocze National Park, it is the capital of Tomaszów Lubelski County.
The Battle of Tomaszów Lubelski took place from 18 September to 20 September 1939 near the town of Tomaszów Lubelski. It was the second largest battle [2] of the Invasion of Poland (Battle of Bzura was the largest) and also the largest tank battle of the campaign.

Tomaszow Lubelski is a town in South-east Poland. During the interwar years, some 5,600 Jews lived in Tomaszow Lubelski, more than half the town’s population. Most were merchants and artisans who worked mainly in the clothing industry and at a foundry.
