Oakbrook Terrace is the home of the Chicago Automobile Trade Association, the largest Automobile Trade Association in America and the thirty-one (31) story Oakbrook Terrace Tower, the tallest office building west of downtown Chicago to the Rocky Mountains.

Residents. The City of Oakbrook Terrace (the “City”) is a home rule unit of local government as defined by the Illinois Constitution and Illinois Statues. It was incorporated in 1958 as the city of Utopia, but its name was subsequently changed to Oakbrook Terrace.
