  2. Dec 16, 2003 · In conclusion, 'The Thieving Magpie - La Gazza Ladra' is a great live album from Marillion. Though Marillion would release more live material from this period of the band's history long after the departure of Fish, 'The Thieving Magpie - La Gazza Ladra' marked the end of an era for Marillion.

  4. Review by ProgKidJoel. Marillion's "La Gazza Ladra" is a truly fine compilation live album from Marillion, capturing the band at their touring peak. Although the first disc is made up of recordings from separate tour nights, this doesn't really reduce my enjoyment of the fantastic performance.

  5. Apr 13, 2017 · By Mark Pullinger, 13 April 2017. Everyone knows the overture to La gazza ladra. It’s the one that begins with a pair of snare drums snarling across opposite sides of the orchestra which then launches into a pompous military march. Rossini’s opera itself is rarely performed.
