    • 1 Series 5. Cast: Aisling Bea, Bob Mortimer, Mark Watson, Nish Kumar and Sally Phillips. Commonly considered the best season of Taskmaster, series 5's energy is decidedly lighthearted and silly.
    • 2 Series 7. Cast: James Acaster, Jessica Knappett, Kerry Godliman, Phil Wang and Rhod Gilbert. The cast of Taskmaster series 7 have vastly different approaches to tasks which results in excellent contrasts, from Jessica Knappett's joyful enthusiasm, to Kerry Godliman's efficient and no-nonsense attitude, to Rhod Gilbert jumping at every opportunity to humiliate Greg and Alex.
    • 3 Series 14 (2022) Cast: Dara Ó Briain, Fern Brady, John Kearns, Munya Chawawa and Sarah Millican. One of the most recent Taskmaster series, series 14 has one of the show's all-time best casts.
    • 4 Series 2 (2016) Cast: Doc Brown, Joe Wilkinson, Jon Richardson, Katherine Ryan and Richard Osman. Despite only having 5 episodes compared to later seasons' 10, series 2 contains many stand-out moments.
  1. Every member of the season 5 cast (except for Nish) still played to win though, showing good sportsmanship and being nice does not mean they were not competitive. Nobody forced Aisling to disrobe, get out of the boat show and in doing so show her undergarments to the audience for example.

Iain Stirling, Joe Thomas, Lou Sanders, Paul Sinha, Sian Gibson The outfits – Lou Sanders’ correctly predicting winner jumpsuit, Paul Sinha’s Arthur Dent-style dressing gown – were top for this one. There were real highlights too: Sanders in general, the apparent psychological unravelling of dry-humoured Joe Thomas who despite a long acting career ...

Al Murray, Dave Gorman, Paul Chowdhry, Rob Beckett, Sara Pascoe A mixed bag for Series 3 that swayed between completely hilarious to a bit meh. Sleep-deprived new father Rob Beckett was on the edge the whole series – either maniacally laughing or absolutely kicking off but gave us truly one of Taskmaster’s best momentsin the ‘surprise Alex’ task. E...

To reiterate a sentiment from above, there is no such thing as a bad series of Taskmaster. What makes a truly great series though, are the developing relationships and interactions between all seven of them in the studio, and between the comedians in the team tasks. That’s what always creates the most memorable moments. This bunch seemed to each be...

  2. Series 5 is my favourite because it has best girl Sally. Then it's a tough split between 4, 7, 9, 10, 11 and 15. It has to be said though, every series is good.

  3. The prize tasks were brilliant (I still want to know what Sally’s “Mosquito” is from the first episode). I feel like there’s always someone in each series I’ve watched who was the strongest at prize tasks, Lolly for Series 4, Mawaan for Series 10, and Mark for series 5.

  4. Aug 8, 2024 · Let’s not forget Season 5, which saw Bob Mortimer's bizarre yet delightful approach to tasks that left viewers and the Taskmaster himself, Greg Davies, both baffled and entertained. Now it's your turn to weigh in on the debate.
