Plot. Auro (Amitabh Bachchan) is an intelligent and witty 12-year-old boy with an extremely rare genetic disorder called progeria. Mentally he is twelve and very normal, but physically he looks five times older. In spite of his condition, Auro is a very happy boy. He lives with his mother, Vidya (Vidya Balan), who is a gynaecologist.

It is a happy film about a father and his son and the sweet moments that they share,” Abhishek said. “The genetic disorder is just the unique backdrop of the film… just like ‘Mili’ where my mother (Jaya Bachchan) is suffering from a disease but the film was not about the illness,” he said.
