  5. Gasquet has the superior backhand drive. Everything else about Federer's - slice, return, volleys - is superior, but I'd agree that Gasquet has the better topspin backhand.

  6. Gasquet clearly has a better backhand return, slice, and volleys and all that. He can actually also step in and take it early better. He just overspins a lot on his backhand drives though and Wawrinka is clearly better at clobbering multiple backhands in a row.

  8. Gasquet can do it all because he is a phenomenally talented ball striker with a technically fantastic backhand. We can see a couple of the small technical flaws that make Federer’s backhand more susceptible to error than the other three.
