The center of Badalona is nice. I'd rather live there than anywhere in Barcelona. Badalona generally is much quieter in terms of traffic noise than Barcelona. I live in La Salut. It's extremely populous and drab. As long as you don't pick a fight with a gypsy, you won't have any issues.
It's super quiet, green, open, not crowded - in our area of course. Central badalona is a few mins away on bicycle, connectivity to Barcelona is excellent by tram, train and metro. There's a weed club which is much cheaper than what youll find in Barcelona.

As we mentioned previously, Badalona is a much cheaper city to live in than Barcelona. That means you will be able to pay less for an apartment with better characteristics. Besides that, also the IBI(Spanish Property Tax) is much lower, and therefore you will be saving a bit by paying less once it’s time to pay your taxes.
Although we already spoke about being in close proximity of Barcelona city, there is enough distance to not have to deal with the city’s traffic and night-time noises.
