These were collected in a book titled Les Prophéties in 1555, with each set of 100 prophecies being referred to as a “Century.”

Dec 25, 2023 · In the 16th century, Nostradamus would likely have been considered a scientist because the distinction between science, astrology, and mysticism was not as clear as it is today. However, he would probably not be classified as a scientist by today's standards.
Nostradamus gained notoriety during his lifetime when some of his predictions appeared to have come true. He was highly sought after and was even invited to the court of Catherine de’ Medici , then the queen consort of King Henry II of France, to create horoscopes for her children.
