Atherstone / ˈ æ ð ər s t ən / is a market town and civil parish in the North Warwickshire district of Warwickshire, England. Located in the far north of the county, Atherstone is on the A5 national route, and is adjacent to the border with Leicestershire which is here formed by the River Anker .
Atherstone is a historic market town with a 1940s themed café, vintage shops and a hat-making heritage. It is on the West Coast Main line and has a canal, a Visitor Centre and a Shrove Tuesday football game.

- Mark P. 1 contribution. What a wonderful place. A great visit. Took my wife for a birthday surprise and we both loved it. We did all 3 experiences ( Alpacas, donkeys and mere cats).
