Dec 29, 2020 · Andy Gibb's cause of death was myocarditis. On March 10, 1988, Andy Gibb went to the hospital after reporting having chest pains, where he later died. The doctors ruled that myocarditis, a weakened heart condition, was the cause of death, most likely caused by prolonged cocaine abuse. He died five days after his 30th birthday.
