Moseley ( / ˈmoʊzliː / MOZE-lee) is a suburb of south Birmingham, England, three miles (five kilometres) south of the city centre. It is located within the Moseley ward of the city, in the constituency of Hall Green and Moseley. Historically it lay within Worcestershire. [1] History. Moseley was listed in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Museleie. [2]

Moseley from the 19th Century. Between 1850 and 1910, Moseley developed from a rural village into a fashionable suburb, stimulated by the new railway line and trams linking Moseley with the centre of Birmingham. Large country estates were split up and sold off for housing developments.
