At about 15 hectares (35 acres), Kennington Park is a reasonably sized Victorian park with plenty of history. It is, in some ways, the south of the river's equivalent of Hyde Park (though it is not a Royal Park). There was a place of execution (equivalent to Tyburn - now Marble Arch).
