Welcome to St. Thomas Malankara Catholic Church. The Malankara congregation, which started with fifty members gradually, grew and its activities began to spread to other parts of the city. Sub stations were established at Tiruvottiyur on 27th April 1977 and Perambur on 2nd April 1978.
Catholicate of the East. The Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church was founded by St. Thomas, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ, who came to India in A.D. 52. At least from the fourth century, the Indian Church entered into a close relationship with the Persian or East Syrian Church.
