    The English bulldog is a brawny little powerhouse with a large spherical head, short muzzle and massive jaws. They stand about 16 inches tall and weigh between 50-54 pounds. Their skin is loose with heavy wrinkles and they have a sweet disposition.

    The breed has a sweet gentle disposition that makes them great family pets who actively solicit human attention but can be aggressive to unfamiliar dogs. They make fine watchdogs due to their courage bred into them for bull baiting.

    Low endurance dogs that do not require yards or much exercise; they thrive best in temperate climates but are prone to overheating and breathing difficulties in hot weather as well as chills easily in cold temperatures; moderate shedders with short coats requiring little grooming but wrinkles need wiping regularly to prevent skin infections.
