Twynholm ( / ˈtwaɪnəm /) is a village in Scotland. It is located miles (3.6 km) north-northwest of Kirkcudbright and miles (7.2 km) east of Gatehouse of Fleet on the main A75 trunk road. [1] It is in the historic county of Kirkcudbrightshire , [2] Dumfries and Galloway. [3]
Twynholm. Twynholm lies two miles north-west of Kirkcudbright. After centuries lying on the main road from Dumfries to Stranraer, it became a more peaceful village in 1973, when the line of the main A75 was changed to pass just north of Twynholm rather than through its centre.
