Aayutha Ezhuthu (transl.Weapon Letter)is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language political action film directed by Mani Ratnam. The film, which is loosely based on the life story of George Reddy , a scholar from Osmania University of Hyderabad , stars Suriya , R. Madhavan and Siddharth in the lead roles.
A masterwork that is undervalued. According to me, the story is driven by the excellent performances, gorgeous tonal photography, great conversations, and exceptional music. One of my favorite Tamil movie characters now is Suriya as Michael, who was based on the real-life George Reddy from Osmania University.
Aayutha Ezhuthu is a three-hero subject and while Suriya was the first choice for his character, Madhavan and Siddharth were brought in because the makers couldn't go with their original options. For Madhavan's character of a bulked up ruffian, actor Vikram was considered.
