    • 'Sachin' is an exciting game where humor and love score
      • The movie captures the innocence and beauty of a bucolic countryside and portrays the rivalries between local cricket clubs. It explores how cricket becomes a ‘game changer’ in Sachin’s life. The film has a credible ending where the protagonist realizes the importance of approaching life with reason and practicality, beyond just cricket and love.

  2. Dec 13, 2017 · The film starts with the frolics of a young boy, full of mischief, who given a chance would love to stay outdoors. There is a striking resemblance between the child actor playing Sachin and Sachin himself at that age. The life of the Tendulkar household was simple and revolved around this life bundle of energy.

What people mostly perceive biopics to be is inspiring stories that is a tell all on the personality. Although, the Sachin biopic is more like an experience or I’d say in my case, as a 90s child, a run down the memory lane with the chance to relive some of the greatest matches of all time, to watch and gloat over India’s finest winning moments in a...

Sachin Tendulkar’s narration may seem slightly weird but then again he’s not an actor to be all comfortable with it. The voiceovers by Harsha Bhogle, Boria Majumdar, Gideon Haigh, all three who have been sport reporters for decades work well for the film. Popular players like Virat Kohli, M S Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Ricky Ponting, Shane Warne, Bria...

I expect a lot of people to question why it took an Englishman to come up with a biopic on Sachin Tendulkar and after having watched the film, I’d say, it’s not about being an Indian or a westerner, it’s taming the fandom of this sport and the legend in a taut screenplay that was required and that’s what we get. James Erskine gives us the perfect f...

  3. May 26, 2017 · The movie keeps us trapped in this idyllic, fairy tale like story of a modern Indian deity, by demonstrating a parallel with the story of India’s exponential economic growth during the Sachin years, and the dramatic events that took place in Mumbai, the city of his birth, during his cricketing days.

  4. Rated 3/5 Stars • 02/04/23. Brilliant movie especially for a guy like me who is a fan of the little master, although got to say it caters to a very selective audience being a self-narrated ...

  5. Apr 24, 2023 · Sachin: A Billion Dreams Review: A One-sided Account Of Tendulkar’s Legacy. Director James Erskine's film about the cricket legend betrays the complexity of the man, but not the theatre of him. It betrays the integrity of documentation, but not the power of it.

  6. May 26, 2017 · Here’s the really embarrassing bit. Sachin: A Billion Dreams is a singularly unimaginative, almost slavish piece of documentary film-making. Yet, I couldn’t help getting wrapped up in it. How...

  7. May 25, 2017 · Sachin A Billion Dreams movie review: The docu-drama is engrossing for both fans who claim to know more about Sachin Tendulkar than he himself, as well as for those who may not live and breathe Sachin.
