Hartlepool ( / ˈhɑːrtlɪpuːl / HART-lih-pool) is a seaside and port town in County Durham, England. It is governed by a unitary authority borough named after the town. - Ella F. 1 contribution. Worth a visit. Tickets bought online in advance were a little cheaper and worth every penny. Two adults and an 8 year old in our party easily spent 4 hours here and thoroughly enjoyed it however, if wed have visited without our son, wed have still had a great time.

As it was Remembrance Day I wanted to take my son to somewhere meaningful for the day.I couldn’t have chosen better.The heugh battery museum is the only World War I battlefield in Britain.We spent approximately 2 & a half hours here.Everyone we spoke too we’re wonderful and such a pleasure to talk to especially the lovely lady who took our admissions.we felt so welcome and we’re moved by it’s history..
