Dastagird (also spelled as Dastgerd, Dastigird and Daskara), was an ancient Sasanian city in present-day Iraq, and was close to its capital, Ctesiphon. Originally known as Artemita, the city was rebuilt and renamed by king Hormizd I (r. 270-271).
