Oxygen (French: Oxygène) is a 2021 French-language science fiction thriller film directed and produced by Alexandre Aja, from a screenplay by Christie LeBlanc.An American-French co-production, it stars Mélanie Laurent as a woman who awakens trapped in an airtight medical cryogenic unit, with Mathieu Amalric and Malik Zidi in supporting roles. The film was released by Netflix on May 12, 2021, and received generally positive reviews from critics.
Oxygen was a decent movie, not great. Melanie Laurent was amazing and so was the effects and the cinematography. Background music and the storytelling could have been a bit better if it had dug deep into the life of the main character. This Netflix original movie is a one time watch, but won't disappoint. The ending was quite impressive and it kept me guessing till the very end.

With the oxygen resources steadily depleting, Liz must remain composed to piece together her fragmented memories and reconstruct her opaque identity with the help of M.I.L.O., the pod's state-of-the-art A.I. However, trapped Liz can't move, she can't get out, and her oxygen levels can only last ninety short minutes.

It may have been in development before the world knew anything about COVID-19 (and once had Anne Hathaway attached), but this truly feels like the most 'pandemic thriller' yet in its own unpredictable way. May 12, 2021 · The incredible shots and Mélanie Laurent's acting are the best part of this film. The development of the high concept — a movie transpiring in the same place — doesn't cover new ground, and the twists don't come as a genuine shock, but the frustration of the main character is palpable.
