The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists, abbreviated as AMMA, is an Indian organisation of film actors and actresses working in the Malayalam cinema, formed in 1994. Governing body. The governing body serves for three years.
The name of the Association shall be Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) Article II : Registered Office. The Registered Office of the Association shall be situated at T.C 16/130/1, P.T.C. Road, Trivandrum -14, Kerala. Article III : Area of Operation.
Besides protecting and enriching the financial status of the members, AMMA also promotes and develops better relations between its members and other associations. The scope of function of AMMA extends up to exchanging artists, scholars, students of India with other countries.
The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) has implemented a scheme " Kaineettam ", which is set to provide a monthly stipend to actors who are advanced in age or are suffering from serious diseases. Currently, 116 members of AMMA are receiving a stipend of Rs.5000 per month.
