After reading Bram Stoker's novel "Dracula," I viewed a bunch of Dracula movies. This is a ranking of all of them that I've reviewed. This list ranges from fairly faithful adaptations, to loose reworkings and movies that hardly have anything to do with Dracula besides character names.
There have been numerous films based on Carmilla, an 1872 Gothic novella by Irish author Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu and one of the early works of vampire fiction, predating Bram Stoker 's Dracula (1897) by 26 years.
