The Minimum Wages in Maharashtra are detailed in 60 schedules, with new rates effective from January 1, 2024. These wages are categorized into different zones based on the development level of the areas.
The new minimum wage rate of Maharashtra is effective from 1st January 2023 to 30th June 2023. While the minimum wages are defined zone-wise, and the zones are as follows: Zone 1 – Areas falling within the limits of ‘A’ and ‘B’ class Municipal Corporations. Zone 2 – Areas falling within the limits of all ‘C’ and ‘D’ class Municipal Corporations.
