Shabana Azmi (born 18 September 1950) is an Indian actress of film, television and theatre. Her career in the Hindi film industry has spanned over 160 films, mostly within independent and neorealist parallel cinema, though her work extended to mainstream films as well as a number of international projects.
She acted in more than 100 films and has won 5 National Award and 4 Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Bollywood actresses Tabu and Farah Naaz are her nieces.
