Apr 7, 2020 · Director Jake Kasdan has confirmed Jumanji 4 is in early development. The Jumanji movies kicked off in 1995 with Joe Johnston's original film, which reimagined Chris Van Allsburg's illustrated 1981 children's book as a family-friendly adventure starring Robin Williams.
Jumanji: The Next Level is a 2019 American adventure comedy film directed by Jake Kasdan, who co-wrote the script with Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg. The film is the fourth installment in the Jumanji film series and the sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017).
But what of "Jumanji 4?" The next sequel was undoubtedly set up, though it seems like we're no closer to actually seeing The Rock's Dr. Smolder Bravestone back in action. The good news is, Sony is very keen to get another installment made.
